Tonight, I want to say goodbye to the year 2006. I want to say goodbye to a very memorable year. (good and bad) I want to say goodbye to a very meaningful year. I want to say goodbye to all those painful memories and also to those beautiful memories. And I want to say goodbye to to the year of ups and downs that's helped shape me into who I am and the person I am becoming.

I have been struggling with posting yet another auld lang syne blog wherein I look ahead to the new year with new resolve and resolutions. I am not the world's best at making and keeping resolutions. Last year I put 2005 behind me and just 3 days into 2006 got hit with one of the biggest challenges I have ever faced. The fallout from that one day is still there for me each day when I wake up.

Frankly, I am glad that 2006 is almost over. Hands down, I would have to say that this has been the most trying years of my life. It has been a year that I can only categorize as a "Year of Learning." Learning is not always easy...

2006 is behind me, and 2007 holds great promise. I am simplifying my life--scaling down a bit. I am working toward a lifestyle of -well- simplicity. I am waiting and listening for what life has in store for me next.
